A delegation from the Spanish Chamber of Commerce is expected to visit Zambia to explore local investment opportunities in the tourism sector, a Zambian government official said on Friday.
Zambia’s Minister of Tourism and Arts Charles Banda said that the delegation is expected to hold meetings with various government departments and the private sector to explore investment opportunities.
Banda added that Zambia welcomed more Spanish investors to tap into the southern African country’s tourism sector.
The minister said that he received a courtesy call on Thursday morning from Spanish Council Honorary Representative to Zambia, Ramon Diaz Bustamante.
He quoted Bustamante as saying that his country was willing to strengthen its relations with Zambia and share its experiences on tourism with the southern African country.
He, further, quoted Bustamante as saying that the Spanish government plans to bring a high-level delegation of directors from the Spanish National Parks to come and share experiences with their Zambian counterparts.
He added that the upcoming visit will also involve the training of directors from Zambia’s Department of National Parks.
