The Arab and African Youth Forum is set to take place in Aswan from March 16-18 under the patronage of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.
The forum will tackle topics such as the future of scientific research and health care, the impact of advanced technology and innovation in Africa and the Arab region.
An open discussion will be held about ways to get the utmost benefits from the Nile Valley being the pathway for the Arab and African integration; that is in addition to a workshop about “Developing Coastal Regions”.
Moreover, the forum is going to offer two entrepreneur workshops entitled “How to be a Successful Entrepreneur” and “Social Entrepreneur from an African Perspective”.
The forum’s agenda revolves around Arab and African subjects of concern in light of Egypt’s presidency of the African Union in 2019. The Youth forum’s activities include open discussions, workshops, seminars and round tables gathering senior officials, decision-makers and a large number of young people from all over Africa.
The forum is to include various cultural and entertaining activities, making plenty of tours for guests and celebrating Aswan being the Capital of African Youth in 2019.
The forum’s colorful slogan reflects the spirit and authenticity of Arab and African countries. The forum is set to kick off on March 16 at 5 p.m. with a celebration of Egypt’s presidency of the African Union in 2019.
The first day of the forum will include an opening ceremony followed by an open discussion entitled “the Future of Scientific Research and Healthcare” at 10 a.m. and a break. A round table titled “Nile Valley: the pathway for Arab and African integration” will be held at 1:30 p.m.
On the second and last day, a session about “The Impact of Financial Technology and Innovation on Africa and the Arab Region” will be held at 2 p.m. succeeded by two workshops “Social Entrepreneur from an African Perspective” and “Implementing Youth Agenda of Safe and Security in Coastal Zone”. The day will end with a closing ceremony at 7:30 p.m. offering free walking tours in Aswan
Youth in the Arab region and Africa share history and present circumstances; this makes the cooperation between them essential for the development of their countries. Youth in both regions have grown to prove that they are capable of developing a promising vision of integration.
In this context, the Arab and African Youth Platform is founded for youth in both regions to share and exchange experiences. Participants will have the chance to discuss varies topics that are of concern to both Arab and African youth with the aim of fostering the Arab and African cooperation.
